Indocs Plus is a software solution designed to assist customers in optimizing their outgoing mail. Indocs Plus can manage print files, maximize postal savings, and control the mailing process.

Document Processing

• Easy to Open and View Documents
  - Indocs Plus can open PCL-5 formatted print files or text files.
  - PCL files can be created by simply selecting Print to File, instead of directly to the printer, from your source application.
  - PCL files can be processed in both grey scale and color.
• Merge additional documents into a single print file Indocs Plus can add an additional document file to an already opened file using the append function to maximize postal savings.
• Merge multiple documents into a single print file Indocs Plus can open multiple document files from within a designated directory to maximize postal savings.
• Multiple files can be merged only if the grouping criteria is in a similar position on each document. When utilizing CASS and PAVE, the address must be in a similar position.
• Sorting Print Files
  - Indocs Plus will sort the print file to ensure that all documents intended for the same recipient are grouped together. And, it will set handling criteria for oversized or undersized groups that contain more than the maximum number of pages able to be mailed in a single envelope.
  - Sorting modes include no sort, simple sort, and best fit sort.
• Group Document Pages
  - Indocs Plus can select from the criteria shown on the page to determine the grouping of documents.
  - Grouping criteria may be Text or Image areas of a document.
  
• Text Grouping - New text defines next group. - Return to text defines next group. - Pages in a group defines next group.
• Image Grouping - New image defines next group. - Image only on first page of group. - Image only on last page of group.
• Criteria Based Out-Sorting - Indocs Plus can divert print to alternative printers or files by using the criteria builder to define the sort. This can further improve the efficiency of outgoing mail processing.

Document Design

• Add Document Overlays
  - Indocs Plus can add one or more JPEG or TIFF images onto every document in the print file. This could be used to overlay a document template, and could include company logos, document design and signatures.
• Erase Areas of the Document Indocs Plus can delete specific areas of text or images from the document (the erase area can be on the first, last, or all pages of the group.)
  For example, the erase area could be an incorrect logo, address, or text lines to be replaced by an overlay.
• Convert Landscape Text Documents to Portrait Format
  - Indocs Plus utilizes the text page set up function to change the number of lines per page, character pitch of the contained text, the size of the paper, and the page orientation, to optimize mailing efficiency.
  - This function can be used in conjunction with the overlays to convert continuous forms to cut sheet.

Mailing System Control

• Add OMR or Barcode to the documents - Indocs Plus can add OMR or Barcode functionality to the documents’ (3 of 9, 2 of 5, or 2D) functionality, based on predetermined criteria, to:
  - Control the number of documents going to each customer (Grouping).
  - Control the specific additional inserts going to each recipient.
  - Set criteria for diverting documents at input or output of the mailing process.
• Document Security
  - Indocs Plus can encrypt additional information into the OMR or Barcode, to monitor the integrity of the mail stream, using data logging, sequencing, and/or page count verification (levels of functionality are dependant on type of encryption and mailing process capability).
  - This information can be used to verify that the documents intended for the mail stream have been mailed.

Printer Control

• Duplex or Simplex Documents
  - Indocs Plus allows you to select duplex or simplex printing to minimize page counts and optimize postal savings.
  
  When printing in duplex mode, Indocs Plus can print the OMR or Barcode on the front or back of the document.
• Tray Control
  Indocs Plus allows the customer to specify a unique paper type for a given page in the group of documents. This feature can be very useful if one page is preprinted or the cover page is a special stock.

Postal Savings

• Indocs Mail Plus with CASS+PAVE capability
  - Indocs Mail Plus can seamlessly run an address correction and presort to optimize postal savings for a given print file.
  - Indocs Mail Plus will provide all USPS-certified reports in order to qualify for the published discounts.
• Indocs Mail Plus with CASS+PAVE capability
  - Indocs Mail Plus will provide a certified, postal manifest report for prepaid postage.
  - Indocs Mail Plus provides a Postage Summary report which can be used to monitor mailing trends and costs.

Ease of Use

• Intuitive Wizards
  - Indocs Plus utilizes easy-to-follow Wizards that walk the user through the process and application set up; no prior programming knowledge is required.
• Application Profiles - Indocs Plus allows for all specified criteria and functionality to be saved in a specific job profile. The customer may simply run the specified job profile whenever a specific application is being produced, and amend the functionality of the profile as required. An unlimited number of job profiles can be created.
• Directory Processing - Indocs Plus allows the customer to specify the processing directory. If ample hard drive capacity is available elsewhere, the customer can now source the capacity.
• Scheduled Production Processing - Indocs Plus can be run with Microsoft Scheduler.® In this mode of operation, Indocs Plus will automatically load and run the defined job profile and then exit after the output run has been sent to the printer.
